Effective Date: May 31, 2025
We at TadaIQ ("Tada") value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. TadaIQ is an African data-intelligence and contributor-powered market research platform that collects data via a network of mobile contributors to provide real-time insights to our clients.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you use our services, and outlines your rights and choices. Any capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Use.
By using or accessing the Tada services (including our website, client portals, analytics platforms, or mobile applications), by reviewing or completing data collection missions or tasks ("Tasks") as a Contributor, or by signing up as a Client, you accept the practices and policies described in this Privacy Policy. You also consent to our collection, use, processing, and sharing of your personal information – including location data, images, videos, and other content you provide – as described below. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use the Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we continually improve our Service and adapt to new laws or technologies. If we make material changes, we will notify you by appropriate means (for example, via our app, by email, or by posting an updated notice on our website). Continued use of the Service after any changes to the Privacy Policy are posted will constitute your acknowledgement of the changes and agreement to be bound by the updated policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically for the latest information on our privacy practices.
Tada uses the terms "Customer" (or Client), "Contributor," and "Visitor" to describe different types of users of our Service:
If you are an organization or individual that has entered into a Master Services Agreement or other client agreement with us for access to Tada's data services, you are a Customer. Customers typically access our online client dashboards, portals, or analytics platforms to obtain market insights.
If you download and use our mobile application to perform Tasks (for example, to collect data, take surveys, capture images, or other information in the field), you are a Contributor. Contributors form our network of data collectors who earn rewards by completing Tasks.
If you visit our website or interact with our services without logging in as a Customer or Contributor, you are a Visitor.
Unless otherwise specified, the terms in Part I of this Privacy Policy apply to all Customers, Contributors, and Visitors. Part II provides additional terms specifically for Customers/Clients. Part III provides additional terms specifically for Contributors. Part IV provides additional disclosures and rights for residents of California (and other U.S. states with similar laws). We are committed to complying with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR (for users in the European Economic Area), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), Law No. 2013-450 of Côte d'Ivoire (for Ivorian residents), and other relevant data protection regulations.
This Privacy Policy applies to Tada's websites, mobile applications, client portals, and any other products or services provided by Tada (collectively, the "Service"). It covers personal information collected through your use of the Service worldwide. By using the Service in any manner, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the collection, processing, and use of your information as described herein. Remember that your use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Use, which incorporate this Privacy Policy.
Tada is based in Côte d'Ivoire and operates globally. Data collected through our Service is stored on secure cloud servers provided by Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services in Zurich, Switzerland). We will take appropriate measures to ensure your personal information remains protected according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law. If we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Côte d'Ivoire, we will do so in compliance with applicable data export requirements (such as by using European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards).
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 years (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, if lower than 18). We also do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old. The Service is not directed to children. If you are under the Age Minimum (or under 13, whichever is lower), please do not attempt to register for or use the Service, or send any personal information about yourself to us. Similarly, do not send us personal information about any other individual who is under the Age Minimum (or under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under the minimum age (or under 13 years old), we will delete that information as quickly as possible
If you believe that a child under the age of 13 may have provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Tada collects information about you in two main ways: (1) information you provide to us directly, and (2) information we collect automatically through your interaction with our Service or from third-party sources.
When you register as a Contributor or Customer, we may collect identifiers such as your name, username, password, email address, phone number, and other contact information. If you sign in via a third-party account (like Google or Facebook), we may receive basic profile details from that account with your permission.
You might provide additional profile information such as your age, gender, interests, education, or occupation, depending on the needs of certain Tasks or to improve task matching. Providing this information is often optional and used to qualify you for relevant opportunities.
When you complete a Task using our app, you may submit various types of data including answers to survey questions, photos, videos, audio recordings, and other media. We collect and store this content, as it is the core of our service. Important: Please be mindful that any images, videos, or recordings you submit should not violate others' privacy rights. These submissions will be shared with our clients as described below.
If you are a Contributor who earns rewards or a Customer who makes payments, we will collect information to process those financial transactions. Contributors may need to provide a payment identifier or account (for example, mobile money number, payment wallet ID, bank account, or other payout details) to receive earnings. In some cases, we or our payment partners might request additional identity verification data to comply with "Know Your Customer" (KYC) requirements or anti-fraud regulations, such as your full name, government-issued identification, date of birth, address, tax identification number, or a selfie/photo for identity confirmation. We will only ask for what is necessary and will handle such sensitive information with care and security.
If you contact us directly (for example, by emailing support or sending feedback), we will receive the content of your message and any contact information you provide (such as your email address or phone number), as well as the time and date of the communication. This information is used to respond to you and improve our support services.
If you choose to use certain referral features and you permit the app to access your address book or contacts on your device, we may collect your contacts' information (names, phone numbers, email addresses) to allow you to invite friends to join Tada or to verify your information. We only use this data for the specified purpose (e.g., referrals or verification) and by your device's permission settings.
We collect precise location data from Contributors, as it is often essential to the tasks. For example, when you check in to complete a Task or when you observe the app, we record your GPS location. If you permit location services through your mobile operating system, we may collect your precise location even when the app is running in the background, to facilitate location-based tasks or verify the authenticity of submissions. We may also infer an approximate location from your IP address when you use any part of the Service (this applies to all users, including Visitors, for purposes like language localization or fraud detection). Note: If you choose to disable GPS/location permission on your device, certain features of the Service (especially for Contributors) will not function properly, and you may not be able to complete Tasks that require location data. However, even with GPS turned off, we may still derive some location information (e.g., via IP address) as described.
We gather details about the device and app you use to access the Service. This includes hardware model, operating system and version, device identifiers or advertising IDs, browser type (if using web), preferred language, and mobile network information. We also collect usage metrics such as the features or pages you access, the time and date of your activities, and any errors or crash logs. For instance, when you use our mobile app, it may automatically log events like Task start and completion times, button clicks, and performance data.
To ensure the integrity of data collected and improve user experience, the app may collect certain sensor information from your device (with your permission). For example, we might collect device motion or orientation data, battery status/level, or network signal strength (WiFi or cellular). Battery and signal information help us understand and optimize how the app performs under various conditions, and can also help in detecting fraud (e.g., unusually consistent sensor readings might indicate automated cheating). We may also capture a list of apps or processes running on your device in limited cases where necessary for fraud prevention – for instance, to check if known GPS-spoofing or time-altering apps are present when location authenticity is crucial. Such information is used solely to protect the platform's integrity.
Our servers automatically record certain log information when you interact with the Service. These logs may include your device's IP address, access dates and times, pages or screens viewed, the sequence of actions taken, and other system activity (such as errors or debug information). If you arrived at Tada via an external link, the log might note the referring webpage or app. We may also utilize cookies and similar technologies on our website to collect information about your browsing behavior over time and across different sites (for example, to track how you came to our site, your preferences, and for analytics). Please see Analytics and Tracking Technologies below for more details on cookies and your choices.
When you visit our websites or use our client platform, we (and authorized third parties) may use cookies and pixel tags to collect information and provide certain features. Cookies are small text files stored on your browser that can remember your preferences or recognize you on subsequent visits. We use essential cookies for site functionality (such as keeping you logged in or remembering your language choice). We also use analytics cookies to understand how users navigate our site, and advertising cookies to manage our marketing campaigns. You have control over non-essential cookies – for instance, if required by law (such as in the EU), we will present a cookie consent tool for you to accept or reject certain cookies. Note that our Service does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers, due to the lack of an industry standard; we treat all visits as subject to the practices described in this Policy.
If you log into Tada using a third-party platform (such as Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign-in), we will receive certain profile information from that platform, but only after you authorize it. This can include your name, email, and any information you agree to share as part of the login process. We treat any such Third-Party Account Information as personal data under this Privacy Policy.
We may work with third-party analytics providers and advertising partners that collect information about users of our Service through cookies or SDKs. For instance, services like Google Analytics may help us understand user engagement on our website or app. These third parties may track your activities across different websites or apps over time to provide us with insights (e.g., measuring ad performance or user acquisition). They have their privacy policies governing how they process data. You can learn about Google's practices at Google's Privacy Policy and opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.
For our mobile app, we may use tools and SDKs from providers such as Branch (for deep linking and referral analytics), Amplitude or Mixpanel (for in-app usage analytics), FullStory (for session replay and debugging), or other similar services. These partners may collect identifiers and events from your device to help us verify Tasks, detect fraudulent behavior, or improve the user experience. For example, analytics may detect if multiple accounts are using the same device or if a device is jailbroken, which can be a signal of fraud.
Tada takes fraud prevention and legal compliance very seriously. We may, as permitted by law, engage third-party services or databases to conduct background checks on Contributors or to verify identity information provided, especially if required for large transactions or regulatory compliance. This could include checking global watchlists or sanctions lists, validating ID documents via verification services, or screening for past fraudulent activity on our platform.
Mobile operating systems (Android, iOS, etc.) have permission systems that prompt you to allow the Tada app to access certain features or data on your device, such as your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or precise location. We will only collect the types of data you have permitted. For example, the first time the app needs to access your camera to take a photo for a Task, you will be asked to grant camera permission. On Android devices, you will see a list of permissions the app seeks upon installation or as features request them; using the app after granting these permissions signifies your consent to our collection of the related information. If you later change your mind, you can revoke permissions through your device settings (however, note that certain Tasks or app functionalities may no longer work if permissions like location or camera are revoked).
We use your information to operate Tada's services and provide their core functionalities. This includes using personal data to create and manage user accounts, allow Contributors to find and complete Tasks, enable Customers to access data dashboards and results, and process payments or rewards. For example, we use Contributor location and submission data to compile results for clients, and we use account credentials to authenticate users at login. We also send service-related communications, such as confirmations that a Task submission was received, updates on platform changes, or responses from support to your inquiries.
The information we gather (especially usage, device, and analytics data) helps us understand how our services are used and how we can make them better. We analyze trends and behaviors to debug the app, fix crashes or bugs, and develop new features and tools. For instance, we might use performance metrics to optimize app loading times or review common feedback to introduce new Task types. We also use data (including possibly your feedback or survey responses) for research and development purposes to enhance user experience and expand our business offerings.
A critical use of data is to protect the integrity of Tada's platform. We use personal information (including device identifiers, location patterns, sensor data, etc.) to detect and prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse of our Service. This can involve automated decision-making: for example, flagging an account if GPS data shows impossible movement or if multiple accounts use one device. We may also use identity information to enforce one-account-per-user rules, conduct audits on high-earning Contributors, or ensure that each Contributor is a real person performing tasks in good faith. Additionally, we use data to comply with legal obligations – for instance, keeping records required by tax law, or preventing use of the Service for any illicit purposes.
We use your contact information (email, phone) to send administrative or account messages. For Contributors, this could include notifications about new available Tasks near you, reminders to complete in-progress Tasks, or announcements of app updates. For Customers, we might send notifications about data reports, platform maintenance, or service changes. We also send replies when you reach out to our support team. These communications are typically not promotional, but necessary for using the Service.
Where permitted by applicable law (and subject to any consent requirements), we may use your information to send you marketing communications. This could be to inform you of new features, newsletters, events, or promotions that Tada or our partners are offering. For example, we might email a Contributor with a monthly roundup of interesting insights collected or a Customer with a case study relevant to their industry. You have the right to opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time by using the unsubscribe link in such messages or adjusting your account preferences. We will not send you marketing communications if you have opted out.
We may tailor the content you see on our Service to be more relevant to you. For instance, we might prioritize showing you Tasks in your vicinity or matching your skill set. On our websites, we might use cookies to remember your preferences and present information in your preferred language or region. We may also work with advertising networks to show ads for Tada on other websites or apps you visit, based on your interactions with our Service (this is generally done via cookies or similar tracking, and you can opt out through those networks as explained in our Cookies notice).
Lastly, we will use your information as necessary to enforce our Terms of Use, to defend our legal rights, to comply with court orders or regulatory requirements, and to fulfill any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
When we process personal data from individuals in the EEA, UK, or other regions with similar laws, we do so only where we have a legal basis under applicable data protection law. The legal bases we rely on include: (i) performance of a contract (for example, we need to process your account info and task data to provide you the Service as per our contract with you), (ii) our legitimate business interests (for example, to secure and improve our Service – we ensure to balance our interests with your privacy rights), (iii) your consent (for certain activities like sending marketing communications or collecting precise location when not strictly necessary for the service, we rely on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time), and (iv) compliance with a legal obligation (for instance, retaining records for tax, or verifying age to comply with child data protection laws). If you have questions about the specific legal basis for any processing of your data, you can contact us for more information.
Our business is to collect real-world data and insights for our clients. If you are a Contributor, this means the information, images, and other Task data you submit will be shared with the Customer that requested that data (and possibly their end clients) for their internal or external use. This may include public disclosure: for example, a client might include a photo or statistic you collected in a report, social media post, or publication. We take steps to anonymize or aggregate personal data wherever feasible – for instance, when we share survey results, we typically present them in aggregated form, and we do not give clients your name or contact information. However, the content you provide (such as a photo of a store or an audio interview) might inherently reveal personal data (it could capture your location, or the image might contain identifiable people or places). By participating as a Contributor, you understand and consent that clients will receive the data you gather, and may analyze, publish, or otherwise use it. If you are a Customer, we may similarly share information about your use of the Service with your authorized company administrators or account owners (for example, usage statistics of a client team).
We share data with trusted third-party companies that assist us in operating the Service or that operate portions of the data collection process on our behalf. This includes businesses that help with hosting our infrastructure (such as Supabase/AWS, as mentioned, which stores our databases), companies that provide analytics tools (to help us crunch usage data), payment processors that handle payouts to Contributors or payments from Customers, and fraud detection services that help us keep the platform secure. These partners are bound by contractual obligations to only use the information as needed to perform their functions on our behalf and to safeguard the data appropriately.
Tada also employs consultants and professional service providers in areas like customer support, marketing, legal, accounting, and business advising. We will share the minimum necessary personal information with these service providers so that they can provide their services to us or on our behalf. For example, we might share user feedback with a user experience consultant to improve our app design or provide transaction records to our accounting firm for financial reporting. Likewise, if we engage attorneys or auditors, they may have access to certain personal data in the course of their duties (under strict confidentiality).
We may disclose personal information when we believe it is required to comply with a legal obligation or request. This includes responding to lawful requests by public authorities, such as subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. If a government agency or regulatory body requests information and we believe disclosure is legally mandated, we will strive to ensure the request is valid and only provide the necessary data. Additionally, we may share information in the investigation and prevention of illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Use or other agreements. For instance, if we suspect that an account is engaged in criminal acts, we may provide information to law enforcement to assist in their investigation.
As our business grows, we might engage in mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, or other corporate transactions. If Tada is involved in a merger or sale of all or part of its business, personal information may be transferred to the new owner or successor entity as part of that transaction. We will ensure any such transfer is subject to confidentiality agreements and this Privacy Policy's protections. If such a change in ownership occurs, we will notify users if their data becomes subject to a new Privacy Policy or materially different practices.
Apart from the scenarios above, we will share your personal information with third parties if (and only if) you direct or consent for us to do so. For example, if you choose to participate in a promotional event that involves sharing data with a partner, we will do so with your consent. We may also present you with a choice within the app or Service to share certain information with others – we will honor the choices you make.
We may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified in such a way that it can no longer be associated with you or any other individual. For example, we might publish general insights like "80% of respondents in City X observed product Y on shelves in the last week," or provide our clients with benchmark analytics that combine data from many users. Information that is aggregated or anonymized is not considered personal information, and we may use or share it for any legitimate business purpose (such as research, marketing, or analytics) without further notice to you.
Please note: We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense of selling data to brokers for profit. However, some laws (like the California Consumer Privacy Act) have a broad definition of "sale" that could include sharing data with our clients or partners in exchange for services or other value. We have described above how and why we share data. We do not share or sell the personal information of Visitors or our Customers for third-party marketing. Any sharing of Contributor information with third parties (including clients) is done to provide our Services and is governed by this Policy and, where required, based on your consent.
We will retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. This means we keep data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, and for a reasonable period thereafter. We may retain certain information for longer if required by law or legitimate business obligations, such as record-keeping, accounting, or dispute resolution.
When determining how long to keep personal data, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes of processing, and whether those purposes can be achieved by other means. For example, if you delete your Contributor account, we will delete or anonymize personal identifiers so you can no longer be linked to contributions, but we may keep Task results (which have been provided to clients) and basic records of transactions for auditing and legal compliance. Also, if there is an ongoing dispute or we suspect fraud, we might retain relevant information until the issue is resolved.
Once personal information is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected or any legal requirement, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
We take the security of your personal information very seriously. Tada has implemented a variety of technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (e.g., using HTTPS for our website and API calls) and at rest where appropriate, regular security audits, and restricting access to personal data to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
Our data is stored with reputable cloud service providers that maintain high security standards. In particular, we use Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Zurich, Switzerland, to store and manage our databases. AWS data centers are certified under robust security frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and others, which means they undergo regular independent audits to ensure data protection controls are in place. We also ensure that any sensitive information (like passwords or identification documents) is handled securely – for example, passwords are salted and hashed, and identity documents may be encrypted and stored with limited access.
Despite our efforts, no security measure or method of data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Users should also take care with how they handle and disclose their personal information and avoid sending sensitive information via insecure channels. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for instance, if you feel your account has been compromised), please immediately notify us through the contact methods below.
You can access and update certain account information by logging into your account through our app or website. For example, Contributors can edit their profile details or correct information that is inaccurate. If you wish to delete your account, you may typically do so in the account settings in-app or by contacting our support. When you delete your account, we will remove or de-identify personal information associated with your account, except for information we are required or permitted to retain by law or for legitimate business purposes (as explained in the Data Retention section). For instance, if a Contributor who has a remaining balance or has engaged in fraud tries to delete their account, we may retain necessary information until the issue is resolved. In general, upon a verified request to delete an account, we will endeavor to remove personal data within a reasonable timeframe.
Contributors can control the collection of precise GPS location data through their mobile device settings. If at any time you wish to stop allowing the app to access your location, you can withdraw that permission in your phone's settings (typically under Privacy - Location Services). Please note, however, that disabling location services will prevent you from using certain location-based features of the Service (many Tasks are location-dependent). Importantly, even if you disable precise location collection, we may still collect general location information via your IP address or based on Tasks you manually input, for security and fraud prevention purposes.
For Visitors or Customers using our web interfaces, you have control over cookies and similar trackers. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies or to alert you when cookies are being set. You can also typically find an option to opt out of personalized ads through cookies via industry websites (like the Network Advertising Initiative or Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out pages). If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Service (like staying logged in or maintaining your preferences) may become inaccessible or not function properly.
If you receive promotional emails or messages from us, you can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in those emails or by adjusting your notification settings in your account (where available). Keep in mind, even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional communications related to your use of the Service (for example, transactional emails about a payment, or important notices about a change to this Privacy Policy).
As noted, our websites do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals from browsers. If you wish to limit tracking on our site, please adjust your cookie preferences or use browser extensions/tools that block tracking content.
If the Tada app or platform integrates any features that share information (for example, if we enable a feature to publish a profile or share task achievements with other users), you will be provided controls within the Service to opt in or out of such sharing. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your choices and requests regarding your personal information. Please understand that certain requests (like deleting data) might limit our ability to provide the Service to you. For example, if you are a Contributor and you request deletion of all location data, we may not be able to verify or credit your past tasks anymore. We will inform you if any such circumstances arise.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region with laws governing data collection and use, you have certain rights under those laws. TadaIQ is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018, Côte d'Ivoire's data protection law, and similar regulations. In particular, under the GDPR (and equivalent laws), individuals have the following rights regarding their data:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in the Contact Us section below. We will respond to your request as soon as practicable and within any legally required timeframes (generally within one month for GDPR requests, though we may extend that period by an additional two months if necessary, in which case we will notify you of the delay and the reason). Please understand that we will need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (to prevent unauthorized access to your data). This verification process may involve asking you to provide information or identification so we can match you to our records. There are exceptions to these rights in certain cases. For example, we might not be able to completely erase all data if we are legally required to keep it, or we might deny an access request if it adversely affects the rights and freedoms of others. If we deny your request, we will explain why, provided it is lawful to do so. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not adequately addressed your privacy concerns, you have the right to complain to your country's data protection authority (DPA). For instance, in the UK you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and in Côte d'Ivoire you can contact the data protection authority (such as the ARTCI – Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d'Ivoire, which oversees personal data protection). We ask that you please attempt to resolve any issues with us first, but you do have the right to reach out to regulators at any time.
The terms in this Part II apply specifically to you if you are a Customer using Tada's services under a client agreement. This is in addition to the general terms in Part I. As a Customer, you might use Tada's web-based dashboards, analytics portals, or APIs to access data collected by Contributors. In providing these services to you, Tada may collect certain information about your usage of the client platform:
The terms in this Part III apply specifically to you if you are a Contributor using Tada's mobile application to perform Tasks. This is in addition to the general terms in Part I. Tada's Contributor app is a tool to collect data about the world around you. By registering as a Contributor and using the Tada app to complete Tasks, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. In particular, you agree that Tada may collect information from your device (including precise location and sensor data) and any content you submit (photos, videos, survey responses, etc.), and may provide this information, along with analysis derived from it, to our clients for their business purposes. This is the fundamental way Tada works: we crowdsource data from Contributors and deliver insights to clients. If you do not agree with this, please do not use the Contributor app or complete Tasks.
We may provide you with additional just-in-time notices or ask for specific permissions within the app depending on the Task. For example, a Task might remind you that taking a photo will share image data, or we might ask for permission to record audio if a survey asks you to record a short clip. Please read these notices carefully. They are meant to give you transparency about what is collected for each Task. Below, we outline the types of data we collect from Contributors, why we collect it, and (for those in jurisdictions like the EU) the lawful basis on which we process each type. We also describe how this information might be shared or used, especially about clients.
In summary, we collect the above types of information from Contributors to operate and improve the Tada service, to ensure data quality and authenticity, to compensate you for your work, and to deliver valuable, trustworthy data to our clients. All or some of the information collected may be shared with our clients and partners in the ways described in Part I (e.g., clients get the task data, and some device info might go to analytics partners like Amplitude for processing on our behalf).
We also want to be transparent that some information (particularly images, videos, or audio recordings you provide) might be publicly disclosed by third parties (our clients or even Tada in marketing materials) once it has been collected. For example, if you take a photo of a marketplace as part of a task for an NGO client, that NGO might later publish that photo in a report about market prices, which could be public. We require clients to use data ethically and within the bounds of law, but we cannot fully control their publications. By contributing, you acknowledge this potential public exposure of the content you submit. We advise that you do not submit any content in which you have personal privacy concerns or which violates someone else's privacy or rights. Finally, note that if you violate our Terms of Use or engage in fraudulent activities, we may use and share information as needed to enforce our rules and protect others (including providing details to law enforcement as described in Part I).
If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. Residents of other U.S. states (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and others with similar privacy laws coming into effect) may also have comparable rights. Part IV provides information for those users in compliance with applicable state laws.
In the preceding sections of this Privacy Policy, we describe the categories of personal information Tada collects. In the last 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined by California law) about Contributors, Customers, or Visitors: identifiers (like name, email, device ID), personal records (like contact or payment information), characteristics of protected classifications (possibly inferrable from voluntary demographic info), commercial information (transaction records of tasks and payments), geolocation data (precise location of Contributors), internet or other electronic network activity (device information, usage logs, cookies), audio/visual data (photos, videos, audio from tasks), and inferences drawn from the above. We collect these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as providing the Services, improving our platform, detecting fraud, and sharing data with clients.
We may disclose the above categories of personal information to third parties for our business purposes, as detailed in the Sharing of Information section (Part I). In the past 12 months, we have disclosed all the listed categories of personal information for business purposes to service providers or partners (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors). Under California's broad definitions, some of our data sharing (particularly with clients) may be considered a "sale" or "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising." Specifically, for Contributors, we do share (and effectively sell) data like location, task results, and associated identifiers to our client companies, who pay for those insights. We do not sell personal information of Visitors or of our enterprise Customers (meaning we don't sell our clients' contact info or usage data to third parties for profit or ads). As a California (or applicable state) resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
If you are a California resident (or a resident of another state with similar rights) and would like to exercise any of the above rights, you (or an authorized agent acting on your behalf) may submit a request to us by emailing privacy@tadaiq.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request" and letting us know what you would like to do (access, correction, deletion, opt-out, etc.). You may also have functionality within the app to request data or deletion (if available, we will process those requests by law). We will need to verify your identity or authority to make the request, typically by confirming ownership of the email associated with your account or asking for certain information that matches our records. If you have an account, requesting your logged-in account or from the email associated with your account is the best way to verify. If you designate an authorized agent to request on your behalf, we will require proof of that authorization (such as a written permission from you and verification of your identity, or proof that the agent has power of attorney).
Once we receive a verifiable request, we will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally within 45 days for California, with the possibility of a 45-day extension if necessary). If we need more time or cannot fulfill part of the request, we will inform you of the reason. No Financial Incentive Program: We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for the retention or sale of a consumer's personal information, other than the core model in which Contributors are paid for completing Tasks. Any compensation to Contributors is for the service/work provided, not for the sale of their data (even though the data is ultimately shared with clients as described).
